AIR RESOURCES
Clean, fresh air is great! Transportation, energy use, manufacturing processes and food production are a few activities that humans are involved in that will influence the quality.
A few things we can to keep our air clean.
- Keep crop residues on the soil to reduce blowing soil.
- Keep construction sites protected by vegetation, mulch or wetted to reduce blowing soil.
- Plant trees.
- Combine several errands into each trip.
- Keep vehicles in top running conditions. Engines tuned. Tires properly inflated.
- Use florescent lighting over incandescent where possible. Requires less energy.
- Buy only what you need. Any wasted items will require more energy to produce new.
