Grade Stablization Structures are used to stop a ditch or gully that is working up a drain.

The root cause of many of these gullies is the lowering of the bottom of stream channels due to erosion.

Stablization is complished using a variety of structures. Farm ponds, diversions, water and sediment control basins, timber or concrete drop structures, concrete block chutes and gabion rock baskets to name a few.
