Background 

​I was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and moved to Nebraska as a teenager, where I graduated from high school and later completed my education at an academy in Lincoln. I began my professional career in law enforcement before relocating to Kansas and entering the gaming industry.
During more than 20 years in gaming regulation and compliance, I advanced from Inspector and Agent to Director of Licensing and Investigations and, ultimately, Compliance Director. My responsibilities included background and criminal investigations, licensing, regulatory enforcement, auditing, fraud prevention, and collaboration with state and federal law enforcement agencies. Throughout my career, I completed numerous professional certifications related to fraud, auditing, investigations, mandated enforcement, and regulatory compliance.
Seeking a new way to serve the public, I joined the Bureau of Environmental Field Services and spent approximately five years in the Watershed Management Section. That experience strengthened my commitment to protecting natural resources and working collaboratively with communities and partner agencies. I now serve as District Manager of the Shawnee County Conservation District, where I bring together my background in leadership, compliance, investigations, public service, and environmental programs to support conservation throughout the county.
Outside of work, I am the proud parent of a son and daughter, who remain the greatest joys of my life.
