Beginning Tips to Improve Air Quality

Clean, fresh air is great! Transportation, energy use, manufacturing processes, and food production are a few activities that humans are involved in that will influence air quality.

A few things we can do to keep our air clean:
  • Keep crop residues on the soil to reduce blowing soil.
  • Keep construction sites protected by vegetation, mulch, or wetted to reduce blowing soil.
  • Plant trees.
  • Combine several errands into each trip.
  • Keep vehicles in top running condition with engines tuned and tires properly inflated.
  • Use florescent lighting over incandescent where possible because it requires less engery.
  • Buy only what you need. any wasted items require more energy to produce new.

What ideas do you have that we can add to the list?  Let us know.
