The Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy or WRAPS program is used by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to improve water quality in Kansas.  Visit the www.kswraps.org web site for information about the state program.

There are two main WRAPS programs covering Shawnee County, both of which are currently sponsored by the Kansas Alliance for Wetlands and Streams.  To inquire about or apply for WRAPS funding in Shawnee County, contact the District for program information.
The Middle Kansas WRAPS covers the northern two-thirds of Shawnee County.
The Upper Wakarusa WRAPS covers the southern third of Shawnee County.
